Serial World Cable Survival Kit

Design by: ian

A set of serial port survival tools for the dual RS-232 plank. We found 'em cheap, but the shipping weight is what will get ya.

  • Straight through cable 1 meter(Male:Female, 1:1)
  • Crossover cable "null modem" 1 meter (Female:Female, RX/TX, CTS/RTS, DTR/DSR swapped)
  • M:M Gender changer (Male:Male, 1:1)
  • F:F Gender changer (Female:Female, 1:1)
  • F:F crossover adapter "null modem" (Female:Female, RX/TX, CTS/RTS, DTR/DSR swapped, DCD&DSR tied)
  • Female breakout to screw terminal with plastic shell (RoHS)
  • Male breakout to screw terminal with plastic shell (RoHS)
  • Packaged in a zipper "bank bag" to wrangle those cables

The female and male terminal breakouts with plastic shell weren't our first choice, or the cheapest, but they were the only thing we could source that used lead free solder.

This is an accessory for an early adopter board. There is a test routine in the Bus Pirate firmware to quality control each board, but full support is still in progress. We haven't even gotten the photos back from the photographer yet :)
